Kite surfing: Ynyslas Estuary
Wind Direction: NE
Wind Stength: 16-18 knots
Surf / Sea State: Flat
Air Temperature: 12ºC
Sea Temperature: 12ºC
Weather: Sunny
Max Speed:
Distance Covered:

Perfectly powered up with the 13m Strike in a nice steady 16-18 knot wind, with the sun shining. There was plenty of wind so I had the kite depowered as much as possible on the depower strap and was able to cruise around well-powered up with the bar sheeted out completely. I don't know how Larry was hanging onto his 16m Airblast! Lots of water in the estuary so with just me and Larry out there was plenty of room to go wherever we wanted. I did lots of jumps, a few on every run as I get bored just cruising along on flat water, lots of nice tabletops with good clean landings too. Then tried back loops and as usual did unintentional kite-loops at the same time, which led to the inevitable drag through the water followed by lots of body-dragging back upwind to retrieve my board.
I even moved my hands into the centre of the bar and pretty much released the bar as I spun, but still the kite went into a kite-loop!

good to have a nice quiet day on the beach with wind and sun! A few people were out windsurfing from Aberdovey, and Chris went out kiting just as I left the estuary (although the wind seemed to be easing by then.)
